Okay, so Russians were clearly trying to mess with America’s election. Maybe they hacked Hillary Clinton’s emails, who knows? But what we do know is that Russians in Austin, Texas published ads on social media sites that reached millions. They clearly tried to support pro-secessionist movements in Texas and California. In total, Russians spent $46,000 on Facebook ads. Here are the top five.
This ad came from Heart of Texas, a pro-secessionist Facebook page that frequently produced content sympathizing with the Confederacy.
Apparently, the Civil War was about the Second Amendment.
Russians spammed both Black Lives Matters supporters and opponents.
“Rise” is how Texans pronounce “raise,” so who can blame them?
And, of course…
Too many Alex Jones fans, Hillary is in fact “a Satan.”
